BBall Recruiting Thread 2k19 - Charles Coleman de-commits to Wake. :(

Is it? The 10% is a grad transfer. Manning is looking for a new grad transfer.

Unless we plan to find a defense, we're going to need quite a bit more than 100% of last year's scoring anyway.

Wake will need a "ready to play now" 4/5. The frosh big doesn't appear to be ready for even backup minutes. That leaves Sarr, Hoard and Okeke to play 80 min per game. Or Wake will be playing really "small ball" with Mucius in the post.

When your program isn't committed to winning, then it doesn't really need anything when it's just playing to lose.

If we can get Proctor I'd say that'd be a really good transfer. Great build, efficient scorer with high usage, looks to be a scholar, prob has leadership abilities.

Ideally we land Proctor and a big who is ready to step in and give us 25 ACC level minutes in the paint.

A man can dream.

I would be very surprised if the basketball coaches didn't want to win. The ongoing problem is that the strategies and tactics used have not lead to many wins. Also, this staff may be incapable of doing something different.

Why do we need Proctor when we get White, have Chaundee and Sharone off the bench at that position?

We do need the big guy from W&M.

A high percentage 3 pt shooter would be useful. But a ready to play in college big is a necessity.

One reason, besides pretty bad overall point guard play, that our assist numbers are so low is we miss a lot of open jump shots and we have inexperienced finishers in the post.

Big who can finish is greatest need. However, having somebody besides Mucius (25% makes on threes) taking jump shots would be useful.

We could have used Shaka and his 2019 class with a 5 star center.

But he isn't a high percentage three point shooter. His three college seasons he shot- 28.3, 38.1 and 33.1. He's average, at best.

And we're loaded at that position with Chaundee, White, Wright, Massoud and even Mucius.

Was thinking Andre, the guy from Lehigh who shoots 42%.

Agree that WF needs another useful big. If WF does take a grad transfer wing, there is no room for Torry (who I like, but is outclassed at this level).

If Torry is going to play a sixth year he needs to be shooting about 9,000 jump shots a day this offseason

Torry's appeal for a 6th year is still in the hands of the NCAA. It's prudent to be looking. But it would be better to look for an improved version of Ikenna Smart.

If Hoard and Sarr return, we still need a big that can step in immediately and probably play at least 15-20 minutes backing those 2 up. If one of them leaves, we need a big that can come in and start and actually contribute (especially if Hoard is gone). If both leave, we are totally screwed...
