Bernie Would Have Won

so who's your 2020 candidate again?
I dont know yet, there are a million things that could happen on a national level between now and then. I'm far more interested in whether or not the Dems will adopt a more populist/socialist message for their national strategy in the 2018 midterms. Whoever runs in the 2020 GE will need momentum on their side.

I'm talking about voting here. Millennials absolutely abdicated their responsibility. Even if they voted at 53%, the outcome of the most important election of their lifetime would have changed.

Generations don't have agency, man, especially a generation as wide as the Millennial generation, which includes teenagers and 30somethings. It's a stupid argument, regardless, even if it's low hanging fruit.

The DNC presumably crafts strategies regarding increasing voter turnout for different elections. They missed the boat this time and the population voted as it tends to do when there isn't support for get out the vote efforts. There is an easy way to change that for 2020. We'll see if Tom Perez and Keith Ellison can right the ship. They are two very capable politicians and probably the best qualified DNC heads since Howard Dean, IMO.

Sherrod Brown (OH) is probably my preferred progressive candidate, though there are things that I don't love about him. Kamala Harris is going to be an intriguing name, too, though we'll have to wait and see. She has a few things on her record as AG that I don't love, but she also has a lot of potential as a congressperson.

Did you all spend the last 4 pages talking about eachother not voting when all of you voted?

No we talked about how bkf and RJs boomer generation are the shittiest generation the world has ever seen.

Your follow up makes sense. Your original post did not. You could have written changed social constructs (+/- examples of the social constructs) in the country. That would have made more sense. Thank you for clarifying. Contrary to your post, I am wrong often, e.g., my posts: 2011-present.

That's what the term means. My original post did say "of the country".
