I guess it's a good thing Self is not an incompetent basketball coach and never committed financial fraud and stock price manipulation- he might have ended up being hired by Wellman. That is some serious fucking punishment.

The extension won't be the worst of it. It can't be. There's life after the extension; when mediocrity has become historically competitive, when the Mundys of the world become the fanbase's mouthpieces, and when we're begging for a Dino-caliber coach. There's life after that, too; who will want to come in and coach this disaster?
 
Some guy the Wellman clone we get at AD wants to hire to build culture.
 
what a hypocrite. hire a career loser? check. keep a coach around after cursing at fans? check. hire a guy convicted of cooking the books? check. continue to lie to fans about real reason for firing previous coach? check. continue to tell half truths and defame college age kids with innuendo in order to deflect heat? check. throw college kids under buss to deflect blame? check. condone head coach doing the same? check. lower the bar year after year until success means little more than moving the finish line and patting each other on the back? check.

oh, but wait, it's ok because we have never built anything and no one really understands that this is a process and we will get there... "next year..."

Might be able to get some donations to the #WellmanOut campaign from the KU fanbase now. Perhaps enough to get a billboard in the Bahamas somewhere near the arena
