BSD highlights Greg McClinton Profile but with a Manning Pic WTF?!?!?!?

There are no pictures of McClinton available since he hasn't played a college game yet.

We actually don't have access to AP photos. We do have access to Getty Images and USA Today Sports images.

Aren't they on campus and hasn't he been on campus for over a year? None of them have one of those newfangled phones with cameras that most college kids use to take about 400 pictures per day and post them all over the internet?

And so you propose we enlist someone on campus to go track down Greg McClinton and ask him to take a picture while granting us rights to use it so that we could put the picture up on our blog? That's certainly....one option.....

Guess if your parent company actually has money you probably don't want to put them at risk by posting a "copyrighted" photo obviously nobody would bat an eyelash at if you posted.

I am curious about the way it's supposed to work. You can't just use the official Wake Forest photos? Don't we have like a press kit or something?

We would have to get permission for each photo. We have some agreements with people and have the rights to use their photos if we give them proper credit, but we can't just use any picture we find on the internet, or a photo of Greg on Twitter or Facebook w/o the owner's permission.

To be honest, I'm really not sure what the big deal is by using a generic pic of Danny Manning. It's not like we used a picture of Madison Jones or another player on the team.
