It did make me feel like a bit of a jerk.

Remember a few days ago when it was reported that an NFL team owner was hosting a high dollar fundraiser for Trump? And the backlash was so bad the owner distanced himself from Trump's racism, released a statement calling himself a "champion of racial equality," and considered cancelling? Probably a coincidence that Trump managed to moderate his language *slightly* re: Kaepernick the day of the fundraiser.

Remember in the future, when Trump and his people are insisting something he said isn't racist, that he changed his language ahead of a fundraiser in the Hamptons.

Turning to Japan, Trump then put on a fake Japanese accent to recount his conversations with Shinzo Abe over their conversations over trade tariffs.

Trump spoke about his friendship with Abe and how fascinated he was with Abe’s father, who had been a kamikaze pilot. Trump asked Abe if the kamikaze pilots were drunk or on drugs. Abe said no, they just loved their country. Trump remarked, “Imagine they get in a plane with a half a tank of gas and fly into steel ships just for the love of their country!”
 
was down in DE this past week at the beach and I saw the most disturbing sight of a marina full of finishing boats flying Trump 2020 flags instead of American flags.
 
I'm sure Brad will be along to refer to the President as a racist any moment now. Maybe Creamy can give him some props as well for pushing background checks.

It really has become a kind of religious cult. I saw an interview with some farmers at the Iowa State Fair over the weekend, and while many of them admitted that they were hurting due to Trump's trade war with China, they all still supported him to a man, and spouted mostly Fox News boilerplate excuses and defenses for why they were still supporting him. Some said that they thought Trump really cared about them, and that they believed his promises that it would all work out OK for them eventually.

Yeah saw a bunch of that down in Alabama during the 4th of July. Nothing more patriotic than Trunp, I guess.
