The revenge firing inspectors general will go down as one of the more egregious things in this presidency. Historically it will be amazing that he will have zero consequences for doing it. To play of a bit from Seinfeld "he yadda yadda'd the rule of law."
 
Trump probably saw polling showing him losing boomer support, thinks they don't trust him when making ridiculous drug recommendations, then lies about taking it to show he wouldn't suggest they do something he wouldn't do himself.

Yeah this is a good possibility.

The other one is that trump has a financial stake in the manufacturer of the drug and he’s just straight up pumpin it like the snake oil salesman that he is.

I think "positive" being bad and "negative" being good is just real confusing for him. I see him sticking to the "perfect test" thing from here on out. With a little bit of "they say it was the best test" thrown in.
