Bullshit Trump Says

Glad he's doing it now, even if it's clearly so he can shift the narrative that he led us when the virus was finally contained. He should have done this back in May.

Exactly. As we sit here about to start school with our kids home again, and a summer basically ruined as far as vacation travel goes, I like to fantasize about what might have been had fucknuts simply masked up and led by example.
 
I clicked on his mask tweet to check out the replies. Of course there were plenty of "it's about time you moron, you've literally killed people ... yada yada yada." But there were also a bunch of very confused Trump supporters. A bunch were like "I still support you, but I don't understand why you are doing this." While others were more like "This must be some sort of reverse psychology blah blah blah (something that doesn't make any sense at all)." And then there were the ones from obvious Qanon believers/nut jobs: "This is all part of the master plan, we must trust blah blah blah (something that doesn't make any sense at all)." It was basically one of those exercises that reminds you how many dumb people we have in this country.

I know there is a long and negative history of minority voter suppression through literacy tests, etc., but something really needs to be done about all these people that are completely disconnected from reality having a voice in our leadership selection process.

I have family members who excuse anything he does as "that's just trump being trump." People I used to be really close with who now have gone off the deep end with unwavering support for him, not even being able to say one negative thing about his presidency. It's incredibly sad yet amazing that the cognitive dissonance is such that the body count rises to the hundreds of thousands with no end in sight, due to a failure of federal leadership, yet somehow "socialist" Joe Biden will be worse.

Well, he wants to end the suburbs. It was one thing that the shutdowns meant you couldn't go to Chili's, but sounds like Biden wants to finish the job.

The solution includes ending voter suppression and out voting them.

I fear the worst for Republicans. QAnon will only get stronger if Trump loses. That becomes the 2021 version of the Tea Party.

Sadly, there are a fair amount of people that have been indoctrinated to immediately dismiss anything negative about Trump as "fake news". They are not looking for the truth and have no desire to know the truth. His claim of being able to shoot someone on 5th Ave and not lose voters may be the only true thing he has ever said.
 
to some people it's easier to believe that masks are a mind control measure by Bill Gates and globalists that leads to microchipping vs a practical method of possibly curtailing a pandemic due to lessening germ spread.

Same here. I have a distant relative back home who is a huge Trump supporter (as is her husband, he posted a photo on facebook recently of his new Ram truck with a big Trump flag flying in the back). She works in a pharmacy but refuses to wear a mask outside of her job (I think the owner makes her wear one) and has been involved in a long dispute on facebook with other relatives and people I don't know trying to convince her to wear a mask. She keeps arguing that masks don't really help control the spread of the virus, and that the the government is just trying to force people to bow to its will, and so being anti-mask is an issue of "freedom" and "liberty" versus government coercion. I wonder what she thinks now that Dear Leader is finally encouraging people to wear them.
 
Clearly the globalists have infiltrated the Trump administration with an anti-breathing agenda.
