oooookay but something's still not making sense

1. Townie- claimed vanilla
6. bym- claimed full-time doctor
8. Da- investigated as civ N1
13. gouda- claimed 1-shot cop (inv Da as civ n1)

either gouda, bym, or townie have to be lying. we can't be in T at this point given the unknowns, which means no godfather, which means that either gouda is lying (i think da is clean either way in this scenario), or bym/townie are lying.

da is the only place we shouldn't be placing votes here
 
gouda is telling the truth:
-da is civ
-gouda is 1-shot cop
-either bym or townie is bad

gouda is lying:
-da is some sorta civ special
-gouda is bad

da is literally the only guaranteed civ in play right now

we have two shots at this, and honestly i'm still having a hard time seeing the downside of checking gouda's claim first

townie as vanilla makes a lot of sense to me, so i'm thinking gouda first then bym if necessary

but if da claims full doctor, it's bym, game over
 
da's possible claims are:
-full-time doctor (bym is lying)
-1 shot cop (gouda is lying)
-1-shot vig (gouda is lying)
-roleblocker (gouda is lying)

i don't think he can be vanilla or mafia with the math, so that's literally it
 
just in terms of the probabilities, there are way more scenarios where gouda, so i guess start with gouda pending da's claim
 
also actually, unless i messed something up, i don't think, mathematically, townie can possibly be lying now that i'm thinking about it

so if da claims vanilla it's townie

if townie's lying, we assume everyone else so far is telling the truth:
-townie is goon
-da is vanilla
-gouda is 1-shot cop
-bym is full doctor

if we're trying to sort out bym's doctor claim sans-Da, we should probably try to break down what we think happened on N1 and reconcile it with bym's alleged protection of me
 
the options seem to be:
-maf hit ryala twice in a row (and ryala chose bpv)
-maf tried to hit the IC n1
-bym is lying, da is the doctor, and the maf tried to hit da's protection target n1

honestly neither of the first two seem super likely to me but i'm a little rusty on how/when mafia tries to hit ICs
