Capitalism

Nothing wrong with not wanting to work though.
Problem is nobody wants to work anymore. I'm old enough to remember when everybody valued a hard day's work and put blood sweat and tears on the line for their company to make life better for themselves. Now people just want to sit around and complain instead of working for $7.25 an hour. It's unbecoming of a great nation

Just think how rich they would be if they had gone to the Darla Moore school of business.

Darla Moore was admitted to Augusta National at the same time as Condi Rice. First women ever. Are any of those dudes wearing green jackets ? I honestly don't know.

I agree with the spirit of his point, but I think that’s a ridiculous video. He’s using the exact same bullshit rhetorical strategy that Ben Shapiro uses where he states a non scientific opinion about something, “no one can become a billionaire without stealing the value of labor” and inventing a pseudo-scientific-seeming process for having come to that opinion, to falsely present the opinion as a fact.

Manipulating money, through whatever investment or entrepreneurship, allows for the exponential compounding of that investment. It’s mathematically dishonest to say that it would “take 5000 years to earn a billion dollars” linearly when quite obviously a billion dollars is only accumulated by compounding.
Even beyond that, the level of megawealth that is being criticized here is hypothetical based on a calculation of investment value x ownership amount.

Those of us who are socialists or who believe in equitable re-distribution of wealth don’t need to ignorantly bullshit about how wealth is acquired or built, it just undermines our argument.

Lol I mean that can't be real. Why is he even complaining about it on the internet? Hire an attorney and have them address the trespassing, contract violations, etc.

Do you not realize the penalties for posting a false story on Reddit !??

Fascinating Radio Lab episode on the rise of modern capitalism precipitating from a 1 degree climate cooling that happened for about 7 decades in the mid 1600s.
