I am all about the springtime bird drama in our backyard. We have a pair of chickadees that nest in a house on our house, and that's so much fun to watch their patterns of behavior... until the mother effing scrub jays show up. Fuck those birds. Last year they picked off the fledging chickadees. This year they got all but one.
Meanwhile, we have euro starlings, rufous hummingbirds, dark-headed juncos, a flock of robins, flickers, a community of crows, red-tailed hawks, and a pair of bald eagles that also make themselves known in addition to various wrens and finches. The eagles don't come into the yard, but they circle above and it's fun to hear the crow sentinels start sounding off. I've let coworkers know that if I'm looking off-screen it's not my second screen, I'm probably watching birds. It's great stuff.

Patio project did indeed get underway this week. Pumped for some fall fire pit sessions. They did (unavoidably) cut our internet which was decidedly less than ideal for WFH.
 
Back in Boston this weekend for the first time in over 2 years. Spectacular time of year to be here. Planning on hitting the casino tonight.

There’s a bridal shower here at this restaurant where I’m having brunch up here in the Hamptons and these are some of the best looking yankee chicks I’ve ever seen. Slow service though. Probably because of staffing problems due to the government paying people to stay home all summer.
 
Upon closer examination, it looks like a couple of these women are pulling up the average. Way up.
 
Jrad last night at Westville was awesome. Seeing them slay king Solomon's marbles and golden road was worth the price of admission alone.
