Taproom dollar draft nights > WEOH > Burke Street Pizza was a solid Thursday night back in the day. But then Taproom became The Tap and got all fancy.

my research this morning surprised me 1) how much higher circumcision rates were in the US compared to the rest of the world and 2) how much it differed regionally within the US

imrs.php

I think it's something that will eventually die. When it does, it will probably be fairly rapid. I'm with OGB - it's appearance based, but that's a subjective thing that will shift with time. Presently, I think there is a social move to stigmatize circumcision by comparing it to female genital mutilation. I think those efforts (right or wrong) will be successful enough to move the needle to where "having a super weird dick" won't be as much of a problem.

"It'll get better" as they say. Our pediatrician told us we could put our daughter in her crib after the first few weeks, so we did. She didn't sleep at all in the basinet and it was miserable. Since moving her to the crib she sleeps 8-10 straight hours and has been for the last 9 months. It's glorious. If you don't have one, get ya a halo sleep sack. It eliminates the headaches of getting the swaddle just right.

Another hack is to put a bunch of pacifiers in the crib with your son. He will toss a couple out and always have a reserve.

Good luck bro.

we've been using the Nested Bean ones. Think we saw it on an Instagram ad. But they are solid and he seems to sleep well with them.

All this pitcher talk is fucking churning the nostalgia factory for a cold pitcher of yuengling at Rose's on a fall Friday afternoon.

Ah Rose's. Where they serve cheap beer but fuss at you for taking too many ketchup packets and napkins. I did love that place, though. Chris' Special FTW.

Hmm. I've never been to Silver Moon/Single Brothers. Putters gotta be on the list. Burke Street too. Rec bill basement is awesome.

It appears First Street Draught House closed in 2018. RIP.

I've yet to recover from first street closing. That was mine and Catamounts spot. Closed that bar down many of nights. Can't beat the Southern Stilton burger either.

Huh, I would have placed you as much older than cata, but y'all are buds in real life? You can't beat the Souther Stilton tho, that is true.

once said what’s up to brasky at fiddling fish

I have strong opinions about the Winston bar scene in spite of not going back much since college

Fiddle N Fish, Wiseman, Earl's all are top notch IMO.

When I was a single brother I used to love Single Brothers, Rec and Bulls. Never was a big Tate's fan, as I felt it had a truly douchey vibe to it.

need to start a campaign that all porn must use uncircumcised dicks to kill the stigma

Yep, been tight with Cata for probably 20 years now or close to it. I think I've got him by a year on paper and 5+ on the maturity scale.

Talked to the first street owner a few months back and it's a damn shame that they closed due to lack of parking. Wish they could've negotiated the lots next door but weren't able to come to terms in my understanding. That was the only real "cheers bar" in WS. Bunch of regulars.

Original Ziggy's was elite, but that's obviously different because of the music factor.

Yeah, it was the guy that owned the building next door who played hardball to open up his awful carnival food concept right? which flopped hard (predictably).

before I left winston I was spending a ton of time at small batch too, good spot.. quiet pint has kinda turned into my first street replacement when I visit town again these days, though really not the same..

Earls is the most legit in Winston right now.

yeah? I've only been one time for brunch and it was almost completely empty at the time.. food was pretty good though iirc, but it took awhile to come out/service was kinda weird
