Wife tried to make hummus today and burned the hell out of some chickpeas while we were walking the dog at 6. Still smells like burnt chickpeas up in here.
 
Philly you can grow a lot but it’s a lot of trouble

Completely different one but the wife and I were stumbling and bumbling around Las vegas 10 or more years ago and found casino royale on the strip. Spent a few hours playing roulette with 25 cent chips dollar minimum. Pretty great time for free drinks and 20 bucks or so in gambling cash.

For Wake, we did a bit of weight. Of course, the wholesale price structure was grossly different than today. A pound of Mexican was $135; Colombian was about $165-180; North Wilkesboro Gold was about the same as Colombian as were the rare Acapulco Gold and Panama Red. The most expensive pot at Wake during my time was African which was about $250/pound. The African pot was so fluffy an ounce barely fit in a baggie.

The basic structure was that you could sell 3/4 and keep 1/4 for yourself. Then, the same thing would work on buying a 1/4 pound. You could buy Colombian for $60 for a 1/4 and sell three ounces for $20 each.

Hash was more expensive. Run of the mill Moroccan or Lebanese was about $90/ounce. Occasionally we got more exotic types like Nepalese Temple Balls or black, opiated Afghani which would cost $125-150 an ounce. At one point we had so much hash, we decided it was too much work to smoke it. So, we would eat hunks of it.

Surprisingly, hash oil hasn't changed as much in price as pot did. Regular hash oil was about $40/gram. Afghani opiated was about $65/gram. We once had a couple of half-gallon milk jugs of Aghani.

We’ve been getting gummies consistently for the last few months and they come in a 10 pack, 40Mg per gummy...Which seems absurd but they’re tolerable. Wife takes 2 and just watches like 3 straight hours of TV while I sit in the kitchen and listen to music. The baby usually naps for half of it and then judges us for the other half.

Yeah a pound of good stuff was virtually unobtainable fin college for a middle class bro like myself.

We’d drive to Boone to get 1/2 lb occasionally.
 
As I sit here reading this thread while playing with my kids, I realize how much I’ve changed in a couple decades. I was a fucking sketchball in college.
