Now add his ACC record. And “bowl championship games” is ridiculous terminology. At this point I also don’t care what he did at other schools, especially in 2003 and 2005 in FCS. Jimbo won a championship at FSU. Should he have kept his TAMU job because of that?

Got to be some Big 4 championship games or teams that wear black and gold championship games in there too. In fact, we got a win in this years "Teams that wear Black and Gold Championship Game."

Not really a defense, but more of pointing out how futile our history has been. Since 1970 we have had a winning conference record 5 times. Total of 20 overall, and 9 of them were in the 40's and 50's.

our history is bleak, but this isn't quite true. Grobe did it 3 times, Dooley did it twice, Mackovic once

All since Cal Stoll won the ACC at 5-1 in 1970

WF has 10 winning ACC season and 7 .500 seasons in 71 years of ACC football. Clawson has 1 and 2, respectively, of 10; Grobe had 3 and 1 of 13.
 
So what is the suggestion? Fire Clawson and bring in _______? This is so fucking stupid. The man has done wonders for Wake. It's crazy that if you support a coach that has given us our best run in history that you are seen as part of a problem. Baffling.......
 
Sorry I miscounted - it's 7 times (8 if you count 1970), not 5. The point remains:

Clawson - 2021
Grobe - 2006, 2007, 2011
Dooley - 1987, 1988
Mackovic - 1979

Last year, we won that game against another SEC school in the 7th straight bowl!

So twice in the 70s, 80s, and 00s, once in the 10s, and none in the 90s.
