Seems to be a positive day today. Things looking up overall?

Ill knock you back down, apparently at home deaths in NYC are usually around 20-25 a day, the last few days they have been around 250 a day. None of those people will be tested for the virus because of lack of resources.

Does this mean they aren't counted in the COVID19 tally?

Walked by an apartment building in Boston yesterday that had a few dozen people standing outside in masks and a black SUV with Office of the Chief Medical Examiner emblem on the side. Not sure if that got counted, but sure looked like coronavirus.

The NYFD guy who was at Jon Stewart's side throughout all the fights to get Moscow Mitch to fully fund healthcare for the heroes of 9/11 has Covid-19 and luckily hasn't had to be hospitalized.

Not currently... but experts will use data, as it becomes available, to retroactively reflect the likely death toll from the virus... from Louis' numbers here, you'd suspect 225-230 to eventually be attributed to the virus.

I know a few historical pandemics saw (IIRC, SARS was a big one for this) huge increases in their death toll and fatality stats, well after they were 'over'.

Imagine thinking a few hundred people on a ship with an outbreak of a deadly virus would care that he had to deal with a big controversy in DC.

The fact that PR is his main concern seems to prove that the captain did what he had to do.

Definitely don't count in the Covid-19 tally. The tally comes from confirmed cases and then death, before posthumous testing was being done in some cases and then those would be added to the total case number, and death number. Its a large increase but at the same time the causes of death cant be ruled as being directly or indirectly related to Covid-19, lots of old people locked away, increased stress, etc.. but even if not directly causes its still deaths that were most likely avoidable.

Not sure if this is Louis source or not, but this is a dark thread

The death rate better drop, as horrible as it already is I don't know if people are ready for the images of mass graves being trenched in central park.
