How sad is it that DJ Poteet has regressed to the point that he is pinch hit for by a .156 hitter? What the hell has happened to him? His strikeout ratio is off the charts

They brought in a lefty pitcher so at least understandable. More crazy to me that Mueller has fallen off so bad that we went to Long over him.
 
How about 4 runs so far in the bottom of the 8th.

Looks like the WF @ Clemson series will decide the number 8 seed for the ACC Baseball tourney as the Deacs and Tigers are tied for the 8th best conference record (#7 Duke does play at Miami this weekend, and WF holds the tiebreaker over Duke; so WF could move up to #7 with a series win if Miami takes two of three from Duke; also, #10 UVA plays at VT this weekend; so they could catch the loser of the Clemson/WF series; same with #10 ND who plays at BC).

FWIW, if WF is the 8 seed, WF would be in the same 3 team pod as the #1 seed, likely L'ville and the #12 seed, likely BC.

If so, his first start of the year. Control has been a problem; then again, Muntz has only thrown 21 innings.

Realize college baseball numbers generally have inflated offensive numbers (and WF plays in a hitter's park), but WF's team ERA for the season is 5.96. Of the 16 pitchers on WF's roster that have played, only 3 have an ERA below 5.40. WF's 4 primary starters have the following ERAs: 5.60 - Peluse; 6.27 - Shuster; 6.49 - Cusick; 7.61 McSweeney. Yikes.
 
even if we get mediocre pitching so far we would be in NCAA tournament lock right now. Out of 27 ACC games we've given up less than five runs four times. That's pathetic.
