Donald Impeachment

Imagine throwing your values away to pray at the altar of Donald Trump in the hopes of getting some of that political cheese...only to be shoved under the bus when it’s speeding down the highway at 95 mph. Fucking suckers.

Yeah, that seems like the most likely outcome-someone under Trump is getting impeached or forced out. Barr is probably too valuable, but Mulvaney or Pompeo makes a lot of sense. Oliver North had a nice little career post-scandal that one of them could follow.

Schiff should lead the entire committee in taking the oath on Wednesday before the hearings start.

Poor Ukraine a struggling democracy dealing with it's own corruption and Russian aggression and now having to deal with the trump mafia.

private bonespurs and the swamp monsters are at it again. it appears that this entire administration works on only quid pro quo for all government help. after seeing all of this with Ukraine, is there anyone that doesn't believe that Trump and Russia were not in bed together? it is how this abortion of an administration seems to do it's work.

For 50 years, Pubs have been saying government should be run like a business. The joke is that all the rubes thought they meant "run by expert managers with MBAs who know how to maximize productivity and efficiency" but they really meant "run like a crooked New York real estate empire led by a rich idiot who inherited all his money and his corrupt lackeys".

NPR had a good piece this morning basically explaining that there are QPQs all the time in diplomacy, but usually they have to do with tariffs, building military bases, etc. So it's what was asked for is what the inquiry is looking into. What Biden asked for fell in line with the US's foreign policy at the time whereas what Trump was doing was for personal political gain. That's the key difference that is getting overlooked.

I've not met any foreigners doing business in Ukraine since the fall of the USSR, who did not privately admit to being involved in corruption. That's just the way Ukraine works. So, as far as I am concerned, any westerner doing business there is suspect by definition.

Weird how the term "corruption" was never once used in the memo of the phone call released.
