The interruption of supply was caused by everyone filling up their tanks whether they needed it or not. I actually needed fucking gas yesterday. What a pain in the ass.
 
So demand.
 
And price isn't allowed to fully respond to the supply / demand imbalances, creating shortages / inefficiencies.
