How crazy is Rick Perry?

Ah, yes. The famous "public corruption" grand jury in Travis County that only indicts Republicans and never gets convictions that withstand any actual legal scrutiny. What a joke.

Don't think Perry has a shot at being President or even the 2016 GOP nominee, but personally I'd prefer a broad GOP field. if the wing nuts and wannabes split up the primary vote, it makes it easier for someone rational and reasonable to emerge. There isn't enough room for multiple "moderate" 'Pubs in the field and early convergence around a single Tea Party or social conservative candidate isn't good.

The problem is there aren't rational candidates like Lugar, Baker, Huntsman, etc. The closest ones that exist today have no chance -Chrisite and Jeb. Christie's tactics have made him unelectiable. Jeb's name puts him in the same boat. Ryan's budget is a so extreme even the Catholic Church called it "immoral".

Can Huntsman be reborn?

If he lets his daughters do the talking for him!

Never get a conviction, but ol' Ricky boy is the gift that keeps on giving.

As for 2016, it seems like Rand Paul is going to make a push to the oh-so-electable middle the next couple of years.

I guess Perry should have switched his immigration focus from the border to all the Yankees invading Travis County.

After watching him on Fox this morning, Rick Perry is a fucking moron. If people want him in charge of anything other than his glasses and respiration that's their right, but you're simply are not listening to this clown.

Agree there's no chance of a conviction, but the interview was really odd. He started odd defiant, but increasingly became kind of nervous. He deliberately slowed down his cadence and it seemed like he was just concentrating on getting the words out rather than the content of the best possible answer. The guy's been Governor of a huge state for more than a decade and he still can't think on his feet and struggles in an interview on friendly grounds. Can't imagine how he thinks he has a chance to be President.

Because he saw W do it.

OOPS!

It really was nonsensical. He didn't really address anything that was asked other than his punch card of usual quotes. It was contradictory, filled with falsehoods, and sort of like he was trying to figure out who he needed to out primary in Iowa so he just went with the buckshot approach.

Fortunately, as President, one simply has to read off a teleprompter. Problem solved!

Typical false drivel....Obama has given dozens of town halls which, unlike when W did them, weren't scripted. He has answered hundreds of questions contemporaneously.

Remind me again the last POTUS who didn't use a teleprompter to give prepared speeches.....

So do we change the ham sammich saying to "any prosecutor can indict a Rick Perry if he wants to"??

I feel like the GOP is pretty stupid these days but I would think they aren't stupid enough to nominate Rick Perry...
