Impeachment: The Sequel

i'm a little behind. this guy is awful. does he keep saying "eriadite" ?? brilliant thinker and orator.

Well, he used the term "Former President Trump" so he'll be fired tonight.

I literally feel like I'm listening to the real life Colin Robinson from What We Do in the Shadows.

can't stop thinking about "eriadite." maybe he really likes the word "aryan."

Well I guess we should follow Trump's lawyer's recommendation and just go arrest him! Really good idea actually!

he's completely telling the members they will get primaried and lose their jobs. gotta love threats during this defense debacle.

I think that's part of the plan. After all, he doesn't actually have to persuade anyone. Dems don't have the votes. Just get up there, be boring and count on the Pub senators to be the spineless assholes they've proven time and time again they are.

This guy has some Sean Spicer energy up there!

I so earnestly wish we had top Republicans on record in 2016 answering the question "What is impeachable?" The goalposts have moved so far.

This guy is just standing up there saying "The prosecution is being mean for pointing out all the bad things my client did!"

Second guy keeps saying "pure" and "raw" a lot. I'm thinking he should get off pornhub.

ICYMI

The second guy is more insane than the first one. He looks like the kid in elementary school who got beaten up almost every week walking home from school.

Graham and Paul have non-delusional presidential ambitions? Gimme a break. The 2024 Pub primary is either Trump with only nominal competition (Sasse or Hogan), or it's Sasse/Hogan in the moderate lane, Haley in a yet to be chosen lane and some combination of Cruz, Hawley and maybe a Trump family member in the Trump lane. The open question is who Trumpians would support between Cruz, Hawley, Ivanka or Jr. I'm guessing Hawley.

When I said that Graham and Paul have serious presidential ambitions, I didn't mean they had a serious chance at winning the nomination, only that they both want the nomination badly, no matter how unrealistic that may be, and both are likely to run again for the GOP nomination at some point, no matter how unrealistic their chances are. So do Cruz and Hawley and Cotton (and Nikki Haley, most likely.) By voting to more or less let Trump off the hook they're clearing the way for him to run again in '24 and thus weakening their own chances, no matter how unrealistic they were to begin with.
