Travel or not, it is always especially gratifying to beat one of our rivals and have them feeling like they got screwed by the refs.

This is my take away from the game. It was awful basketball but beating State never gets old under any circumstance. This win didn't save Bz's job.
 
the parallels are obvious:
Final play/United Center/Phil/MJ
Final play/the Joel/Buzz/CMM

Take a game-ending situation, intimidating home crowd, legendary coach and a superstar who normally gets the benefit of calls in that situation, and you have referees swallowing their whistle almost every time.
 
Saw a segment on News 14: Devin thought he travelled, and Codi from his sheepish grin thought he did too.
 
He traveled but got fouled before he took the third step. Correct call would have been two free throws.
 
He got "fouled", which in that game was a defender being in the same time zone as the driver.

The foul that sent the state player to the line before that was just as weak.

Saw that too. Codi said that he heard the whistle and just waited for the call- all said while he was smiling like being caught with his hands in the cookie jar!

That's true.

But are people really trying to say that wasn't a travel? It wasn't called, so WHOOPEE!, but Codi got away with one. It happens.
