LOL. You're saying that the average of 35 & 45 is not 40? As I said, we didn't have a list of actual people to get a group average or group mean. Absent that, the average of 35 & 45 is 40. And all of this bullshit is just a diversion, anyway. As I said, you're just making a big fucking deal out of nothing. You can continue rehashing all this crap all you wish. If you want to answer my original question about what percentage of board posters you think are 40+ years old, married & with children, I would be interested in your answer. Ever since you guys lost the election that could not be lost you have been gradually losing your minds out of rage & desperation. Evidently this latest thing with the USSC is pushing you past the breaking point. Board Liberals and the Democratic Party are becoming more unhinged every day now. And Americans are taking notice. You're going to fuck up another election that you should be winning. You need to get outside this little liberal circle jerk called The Tunnels, because I'm not sure that some of you can emotionally survive another ass-kicking like you got two years ago. You haven't handled that one very well.
 
He’s saying if “insert random number of people” are aged between 35 and 45 then without more information you can’t assume the average is 40. There could be 9 35 year olds and a 45 year old which would make the average 36.

Sure there could...but we didn't have any actual group numbers to analyze...and the purpose of the discussion really wasn't about analyzing a specific group, anyway. Since he used 35 to 45, I simply posed my question using 40. I don't think anyone has even bothered to answer that question. Instead, all of you got hard-ons by being able to talk about your knowledge of midpoints, averages & means. A bunch of gotcha arguments about trees while ignoring the forest.

Let’s just be clear about what you said. You clearly did not understand what the difference between an average and a midpoint. These are things that 6th graders learn in math class not elite mathematics. It also undermines the whole point of your post where you are trying to make generalizations about the age and maturity of posters on the Tunnels so it’s not a bullshit game to point out that the premise of your argument is flawed.
