Yep. This is the closest comp there is. Cam is already a better shooter than senior year Codi though

Would have been interesting to see CMM play with better talent around him.

I liken Cam to Ish not based on their style of play, but that both players received unfair criticism and both players are clutch AF.

Oh so true. The last few minutes of the Clemson game Wake was looking for the kill shot. Several players tried. Cam hit it to put Wake up 10 with a few minutes left.
 
Regarding improving at the free throw line. Develop a routine that includes relaxation (deep breathing) and focusing on the front of the rim after recieving the ball to completion of the shot. Neither Bradford or Marsh do either. This can start today. Improving mechanics and practice are obvious needs. That takes time. Big men are in a constant physical battle that requires a moment to quiet down, relax and focus prior to the shot.

Watching Cam, Andrew and Damari improve during the course of this season is a pleasure. Over the course of the past five games all are averaging over 15 points/game and all have one lousy game included in that total. All are improving on defense as well.

I think it’s time to give up on Bradford and have him start shooting underhand. He’s like 15% on the season or something

Appleby (17.0, #6), Hildreth (14.5, #16), Carr (13.8, #22), and Monsanto (13.8, #22) are all ranked top 25 in scoring in ACC play. Wake is the only team with 4 players in the top 25. Miami and FSU have 3.

Carr (7.4, #8) and Hildreth (6.3, #13) are ranked in rebounds.

Carr (.583, #4) and Hildreth (.472, #13) are ranked in FG%. Marsh is at .900 but only on 2.5 attempts per game. He's only had 5 attempts in the last 4 games after going 13-15 in the other 4 ACC games.

Hildreth (.794, #14) and Appleby (.764, #16) are ranked in FT%. Hildreth shot .444 from the line last season (4-9).

Monsanto (.393, #3) is ranked in 3PT% and tied with Smith in 3PT per game at 3.0. Keep in mind Smith was and still is a projected 1st round pick.

Appleby leads in assists with 7.4 and is 8th in AST/TO with 3.4 topg. Hildreth barely missed the top 25 in assists (2.4).

Carr is 11th in blocks with 1.0.

Appleby (2.0, #2), Hildreth (1.8, #4) and Monsanto (1.4, #11) are all ranked in steals.

I hadn't really thought much about Hildreth's claim for All-ACC, but he's top 25 in the conference play in points, rebounds, almost in assists, FG%, FT%, and steals. As Carr's numbers go up, he has a case too. He's averaging 20.3 pts on 25-36 (.694) fg and 9.3 reb in the last three games.

Spurs rookie PF Jeremy Sochan started shooting one-handed FTs on December 19. Before that, he shot 45.8% from the line. Since then, he's shot 73.2%.

Hildreth just keeps racking up stats. Nothing is flashy, but his game is effective and efficient.

It's as if "trying to do too much" is a step in the process before "doing a lot."
 
Bradford particularly is approaching Wilt Chamberlain territory on his free throws.
