It’s crazy that they shutdown the college b-ball season when this was barely getting started and here we are about to start a new season with cases exploding. Same deal with The Masters.
are there tons of journalists keeping track of everyone involved with producing the Master to see if there's a pattern?
I think it's as easy as better understanding what we are dealing with.
In March it was an abundance of caution (and a certain amount of freaking out). We've had 8 months of experience since then.
But that 8 months of experience has led to 250,000 deaths.

Our previous high point for currently hospitalized patients was a little under 200. We crossed 200 on November 3rd, and by November 17th we crossed 450 (!), and more than 750 of our caregivers are currently out with known or suspected COVID. We had an emergency meeting Monday night to discuss hospital re-deployment. I think people are not fully grasping how terrible this is right now.

And 5,000,000 that have chronic symptoms including permanent heart and lung damage.
So what do you say to people that say 'well everyone should just make their own assessment of their personal risk- if you are vulnerable stay at home, if you want to get out in the world things should be open- you should have the choice"? I hear that a lot.
