Official '15-16 NBA Season Thread: THEY WON ONE FOR THE LAND

Also Steph will be 29 in 17-18 meaning even if he did come home you are looking at maybe a year of close to peak Steph (decent chance this year was his peak, can't think of a guard that kept getting better after his mid 20's).
Nah, Steph will be fine until his mid 30s

Steph's old man floor is his dad in his prime. He'll be fine.

That's a pretty low floor for the greatest offensive player of all time, even in old age.

Steph's shot will keep him in the league for as long as he stays in shape and wants to play (see Ray Allen), but it will be interesting to see how long he can maintain his ability to attack the basket.

I was going to say Steph's floor was Ray Allen slightly post-prime, but Steph doesn't have prime Allen's athleticism.

Just waiting on the day LeBron isn't good enough to be useful to the NBA anymore and his PED scandal hits the news.

he's going to be a top 4 pf the next 5 years. rumors circling oracle last night that he and joe were discussing the possibility prior to his sitting out the 4th.

Am not arguing with you, just tossing out random stats-related words to rile up the humorless and dense. Like dogs to their own vomit

You can pick whatever data you want, the only guard to sustain anything close to the level of play we have seen from Curry the past two years beyond the age of ~30 is Jordan.

Kobe Bryant's scoring averages his first 5 years in his 30s:

26.8
25.0
26.9
26.1
25.5

He was top 5 in the MVP voting each year from age 30 to 34.

His team won the NBA title when he was 30 and 31. He was the finals MVP both years.

At age 32, Clyde Drexler averaged 22 a game, and helped lead the Rockets to an NBA title.

In his first 5 years in his 30s, Wade has averaged:

22.1
21.2
19.0
21.5
19.0

Dwyane Wade won 2 NBA titles at age 31 and 32. He was top 10 in MVP voting each year.

You can be an NBA stud at guard into your 30s.
