Yeah. Kornheiser was all for it as a DC guy. If I'm the Wiz, I wouldn't want to put Simmons on a young team without a real leader though. Obviously the Sixers would kill for Beal.
 
Wizards are going all-in on building a team around Bradley Beal. The Wiz went after Spencer Dinwiddie because he and Beal are tight. No chance that the Wizards deal Beal. FWIW, Beal is an incredible scorer, but have doubts whether there is enough around him for the Wiz to be anything other than a playoff-bubble team if Beal and Dinwiddie (coming off an ACL) are healthy, and a dreadful team if there is any injury adversity.
 
According to the Athletic, the T'Wolves fired their President of Basketball Ops, Gersson Rosas just before training camp opened because "Rosas – who is married – had a “consensual intimate relationship” with a member of the organization, according to Krawczysnki and Charania, who suggest that the relationship made several people within the franchise uncomfortable".

i would def have tried to do that, ideally also getting back thybulle and some other prices potentially, maybe tossing in KCP.

the westbrook trade was amazing for my ZARDS but i think they stopped short of having a good offseason by flipping some of those pieces.

If I'm the Wiz, I'd seriously think about getting Thybulle in a Beal for Simmons trade and then shipping Simmons off for assets. Thybulle is the truth and now would be the time to get him before he becomes a passable offensive threat and can play starter minutes.

Not really sure that a team committing to a full rebuild (trading Beal away for picks with Simmons as an intermediary would mean this) would care at all about getting an elite defensive specialist who maybe will one day develop offensive talent. Lu Dort is an elite defender, but its not like he's providing a ton of value to the Thunder right now.
 
i'd prefer that ben never played for the sixers again and we ate his salary and he could just be paid to play fortnite or whatever than giving up maxey or thybulle to reach for a different star.

maybe dame + embiid or something like that gives the sixers the best chance at a ship, but i really enjoy watching those guys play and would be super butthurt to see them go.

I read that way to fast to see that Rosas had an intimate relationship with Mike Krzyzewski. I was disappointed to learn that was not actually the case.
 
Kind of a scattershot list of allegations against Rosas, including that he blocked a move for one of his front office staff to the Rockets, that it was a bad fit with new ownership, and this affair business.

Because the Thunder are tanking. A healthy SGA and Dort could ball out and win them 35+ games.

I agree. I think the Sixers have a fine team without Simmons. Trade him for assets and salary match and be done.

That was literally my point? A Wizards team that trades Beal away for "assets" is tanking.

Also, if you meant those two could win 35+ games with the remainder of that team remaining the same, where do I sign up to bet against that?
 
Andrew Wiggins is not vaxed and does not want to vax, and SF has a City ordinance that requires all those that enter public or commercial buildings to be vaxed, which would include the Chase Center where the Warriors play.

Wiggins for Simmons is pretty damn close in terms of (bad) contracts. Wiggins straight up is probably also about the best the Sixers can expect to get for Simmons at this point.
