Cristobal make the exact same decision when he was the Oregon HC against Stanford in 2018. Less than a minute to go - up by 3 with the ball, instead of kneeling handed off to the RB who fumbled it.
Stanford would then make a FG to send it to OT and win in OT.
His post game explanation of why he didn't kneel the ball last night made no sense.
Brent Key would probably be happy to play every game on the road. He is 5-3 on the road as a HC (with two of the 3 losses being to a #1 UGA and a Top 20 Ole Miss) with 3 wins over Top 25 teams.
I was at the Miracle on Techwood in 2015, but this was probably even more satisfying just due to the fact GT had a basically 0% chance to win this game. With 1:22 left the win probability for Miami was 99.99%.
What made this doubly stupid on Cristobal's part, is that he chose not to take a knee not once, but twice. He also ran a play the previous play with GT having no timeouts left..
