Official Election Month Thread: COUP falls short, nothing to see here

That obvious consideration is sadly elusive for 39 percent of our population.

The duped, the Trumptards.

You know, most Republicans.

Idiot who sat in Pence's chair "respects the sacredness of the Capitol," is misunderstood. Seems that his linkedin profile is now gone too.

Idiot who went into Pelosi's office claims he was simply looking for the bathroom and that they were having a peaceful protest before the police tear gassed them and started a riot.

Clearly, antifa needs to recruit brighter stooges

lol at Josh Hawley losing his book deal and calling it “Orwellian”, bitch, Orwell was published.

Not sure where to put this, but further confirmation Republican pirate Ben Crenshaw is a complete POS. He decries certain Republicans for lying to Trump supporters, which led to the riot, saying they couldn't in actuality decertify the results, but he then goes on to say that we have to confront these rampant election integrity issues at the state level:

"I know that I'm not going to lie to you," he told viewers. "I'm going to tell you where we have to do the hard work and we have to change these laws at the state level because these laws are loose. They don’t give people confidence.

He also noted that the same Republicans who called on people to fight were nowhere to be found when stuff went down because they don't know what a real fight is.

The ex-Navy SEAL noted that as demonstrators breached the Capitol, the "same members of Congress who called people to fight, they were nowhere to be found. Because it was all fun and games to them."

"They never knew what a real fight was," Crenshaw went on. "Real fights are scary. Bullets flying, that’s scary. glass breaking, that’s really scary.

Because remember, this is what a real fight looks like, replete with Crenshaw punching a windshield of a car with ANTIFA in it, images of good Republicans with guns, and threats that socialist democrats are planning a complete take-over of the US govt.

Where was he?

Political ads involving firearms should be banned.

Big money has it pretty good. It does not need this shit. I will believe it when I see it though.

Cruz barely won his last election. I am not sure how this move helps him in Texas. He must think it helps him for a 2024 presidential run.

If there is anything that could bring clowns like Cruz and Hawley to heel it would be big corporate donors and wealthy individuals (like the Koch family) cutting off the funding for GOP campaigns. Of course they could still raise plenty of money from their base, but no doubt it would still be a severe blow to GOP fundraising. Having said that, I just don't see most of these donors really cutting off the GOP. They've gained too much from it over the years to stop now.

I love the argument - which I've heard and read several times now - from various Republicans saying that we've got to "investigate" accusations of vote fraud (which really means just eliminating or drastically scaling back mail-in voting) because we've got to "restore confidence in the system" for those voters who think this election was rigged. Really? Just how do you convince people who actually attacked the US Capitol on baseless charges of vote fraud and who clearly believe that Democrats should never win elections anymore to have faith in the system? Oh, let's just do away with write-in voting and overturn legitimate election results if Democrats happen to win. That will fix everything!

I’ve already seen some Madison Cawthorn supporters referring to the attack on the Capitol as “Patriot Day” and they are well on their way to making that Air Force insurrectionist that got killed a MAGA martyr. How the martyr myth jives with the Antifa false flag attack doesn’t seem to bother them.

Trump announces he will skip the inauguration, which is probably a good move.
