On An Airplane Next To A Fat Guy

Yeah, pretty much everyone I know from other big cities loves the Charlotte airport, minus the renovation parts, which do suck for the time being. Could just be cause the Bojangles though.

DCA to BOS and back this weekend. Two hour delays each time. When you look forward to getting back early evening and instead you get in late at night. Makes work the next morning unbearable.

The parking in Charlotte is a disaster right now. That’s my only major complaint that they could fix with a few signs

feel like tons of airports are doing significant renovations now

just one of the many infrastructure projects that require massive projects due to boomers deferring maintenance on anything public for like 40 years

Flying to Milan tonight. I LOVE clients that pay for business class.

Is that what you call the well dressed Italian ladies who are paying your expenses?

I'm glad Jet Blue has non-stops from Long Beach to Logan. LB is my favorite airport. no fuss, no muss and you still pick up your bags from a conveyor belt, outside on the stoop.

Logan, on the other hand, has the worst baggage claim of any airport I've been to. Maybe I've been unlucky, but both times I've checked bags (golf clubs) there, I've had to wait 40+ minutes to get it and the area was a cluster of heat/cold/construction/body odor.

Flew into Logan Friday and our carousel was right next to the arrivals exit AND our bag was third on the belt. Perhaps my best baggage claim experience.

Conversely, CLT on Sunday didn't have our flight listed on the claim board or any individual carousel. Had to walk back and forth across the whole area (twice) before I randomly spotted my suitcase. #Anecdotes

Get the airline app. It will tell you where to find your luggage. The carousel signage at all airports sucks.

Atlanta used to be like that. I don’t know what changes they made, but now it’s not unusual for my bag to be on the carousel when I walk into baggage claim.

Delta now advertises a 20 min guarantee

In Atlanta.

No, everywhere domestically.

Speaking of baggage, my fucking cab went the wrong way on the way to ORD and I missed United’s 45-minutes checked bag cut off time by one minute, which meant I couldn't get on my flight. Already had my boarding pass and woulda been on time to the gate if not checking. Normally I wouldn’t have checked but was in town for a trade show and had to bring a lot of shit.

Now on a flight to Charlotte since the later Asheville and Greenville flights were full.
