I'm not the only person on here who sends his kid to public school?
I am anything but excited about the choices available to me tomorrow for the office of junior Senator from North Carolina. But it seems to me from what you have related that there are a lot more "Eff You's" to go around than just one to Thom Tillis for the fact that your daughter is sitting in an 86 year old schoolhouse with single pane windows, and not all of those people have "R's" after their name.
"With great power comes no responsibility."
I've got 3 or 4 cents to add - A 90 year old school = 90 years without big socialist government intervention, right?I have no problem with the building, which is beautiful and historic, and as an active member of Preservation Greensboro I would throw a fit if anyone proposed to knock it down. I have a big freaking problem with not providing enough damn money to turn the heat on in that building, and that can be laid squarely at the feet of the people who took over the legislature in 2010. Who have, by the way, a duty under the Constitution of the State of North Carolina to provide a comprehensive system of public education, for free, to all citizens of this state.
Lindley.
There's seems to be a lot of that going around, Ph.
That's where my nieces go. Kindergarten and 1st grade.Lindley.
I just emailed her teacher about the heat. Will report back if I get details.
Looks like NC Pubs are covering their bases at the voting booth.

GREENSBORO — Another Guilford County voter has reported having problems casting a vote for a U.S. Senate candidate.
Percy Bostick, 69, of Greensboro said he tried casting a vote for Democrat Kay Hagan at the Old Guilford County Courthouse, only to have the machine register Republican Thom Tillis as his choice.
“I called one of the poll workers over,” Bostick said. “She said do it again. And again, I touched the screen at the proper place for Kay Hagan, and it again reported it for Thom Tillis.”
On his fourth attempt, the machine registered the vote for Hagan. Another poll worker decided to cancel the ballot altogether and directed Bostick to an adjacent machine, where he was able to cast his ballot without any issues.
The problematic machine was taken out of service

Charlie Collicutt, Guilford County elections director, said his office has received 14 reports of voting problems since early voting started Oct. 23, including seven from people who became concerned after they got home.
You realize this has been happening at sites around the country, with both parties being the beneficiary of the alleged shenanigans, right?
Heavy is the head that wears the #undefeated crown.No. This is the first I've heard of it this cycle.
I didn't know I was responsible for knowing all the news across the entire country.
