Yes there is, the common american is poor.b/c there is no such thing as a Common American
This article would argue ITC, ChrisL and the like are representative of a much greater subset of real America than the M bros
https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/a...orities-dislike-political-correctness/572581/
it argues that most people are in the middle, left and right
Middle of what? That entire study is about political correctness, and it shows that wealthy white college grads are the MOST politically correct.
the article is about exhaustion of americans with politics and polarized yelling at each other.
The middle of 25% traditional and devote conservatives and 8% progressive activists. The M bros represent at best 8% of people, and certainly not mainstream Americans, which are the 66% that are fatigued with polarize national conversation and willingness to be flexible in their political views, ie the ITCs of the world.
But since the survey question did not define political correctness for respondents, we cannot be sure what, exactly, the 80 percent of Americans who regard it as a problem have in mind.
willingness to be flexible in their political views, ie the ITCs of the world.
the DSA's plan is to tell mainstream americans that their conception of what it means to be an American is not just wrong, it's basically evil, but vote for us! and you wonder how Trump can win by calling women Horseface and committing tax fraud
yes that is our plan. good summation.

This is a really dumb take because CENTRISM LOST TO DONALD TRUMP. But let's just bring in even more centrism with a Biden/Tester ticket and "vote for us!"
That's fair. My argument is that you can't conflate opposition to a vague idea of "political correctness" with centrist political ideology. Political polarization is not supposed to be enjoyable, arguing about shit is not the goal, its part of the process. That's like asking meat eaters if they like shooting cows in the head with a bolt gun, of course not, they still eat burgers though. "Can't you just compromise with the cows, surely they will give you some of their flesh willingly".no, im feeling particularly nihilistic because I genuinely don't think a centrist or leftist agenda has a legitimate shot now that the Right has figured out how to game the system
