President Hatch positives?

The innovation quarter is a pretty huge deal for Winston Salem. That entire section of downtown has gone from post industrial wasteland to upscale millennial magnet. Starting the school's first ever engineering program last year is a pretty big deal too.
Agree that academic standing is pretty much unchanged. Of course, the schools we'd have to leapfrog to move up in the standings are not slouches and they have been raising and spending huge money to run in place as well.
Wake Will was a major success.
Nathan Hatch cares a great deal about Wake Forest. His style and some of his decisions may not agree with some, but I think that is the case with most leaders and perhaps especially with University presidents and their school's message board posters.
When I was in undergrad we all hated TK Hearn but with time and perspective it's clear his leadership was very good for WFU.

He didn't interfere, like some feared in he would, in our basketball coach search. Let Currie do his job which worked out quite well.

#1 positive...the search committee to replace him is active.
