I'm interested to know what proper emotional response to publicly posted murder on social media is.
How did this differ from how you thought murder looked like?

Race is definitely an issue that should be discussed here. I don't think you'll find anyone who will disagree.
And yea, scary stuff from ELC.
because shaking at your desk over something that wasn't gory at all is probably a gross overreaction to something that happens hundreds of times a day.
Seriously, wtf. You may need some help, man.

How much real murder do you watch? How did this differ from how you thought murder looked like?
I think it's fine for you to be shaking/mortified/etc upon viewing that video. It's a real murder committed in front of your eyes. It isn't bloody, but it was the screaming that got me.
But that doesn't mean that visceral reaction needs to manifest itself into policy discussions, which it invariably seems to do in the first week after some kind of shooting incident.

There's literally never a time to think about policy because there's never a time that's a week removed from a mass shooting in America.
My mistake. We could have talked about gun policy from April 14th to April 15th.
I don't even care about what we do anymore. Just. Do. Something.
Anything. Seriously. Can we at least agree that we can't just keep doing nothing?

Some kind of shooting incident = some kind of shooting incident in where everybody gets outraged and uses it for political points.
Sorry. I should have clarified. Glad to see that reddit is getting love from the WaPo (granted, a blog) as a viable source now.
