1. I actually think that this is pretty much tolerated in Catholicsm. Homosexual acts are considered sins, but being attracted to someone of the same sex is not. As long as you don't make a big deal out of being gay and don't preach it, you are allowed to be a priest

2. No surprise if this archbishop gets fired. He was already on his last leg - his current position is basically an exile after getting fired from his position in the Vatican.
 
um, i'm not catholic but i thought having impure thoughts got you a few hail mary's
 
But heterosexual impure thoughts are as bad as homosexual impure thoughts.
 
right, but this is like "forgive me father but i have had impure thoughts 24/7. you could argue that it's impure existence"
