I disagree with you
So now the government stepping in to save business and enterprise with tax payer money is a bad thing to liberals. That's interesting.
saving? lol in other words, I guess republicans are cool with Bailouts now

They can always get a job working on the Great Wall of Trump. It's time we all come together, no matter how you felt before the election, and pull together as Americans to MAGA. That's the kind of inspiring stuff I expect to hear at the Victory Rally tonight.
The Carrier deal is all about PR--good politics and bad policy. That said, the media are playing right into Trump's hands by making such a big deal of it. Obama has spent billions throwing money at the solar industry and they ate that up. It's a double standard and anyone with eyes can see that.
it's not a job when you're press-ganged into it. mark it down, 2018 is the year Trump rolls out indentured servitude
Shit, he's like a pirate or the British Navy.
Jobs are really important, especially on the campaign trail, but the idea of politician as job creator is a goddamned farce. Economists across the spectrum agree with this idea. But then again, economists are the elite and we vote with our guts not with our facts, so fuck it all, Trump's gonna be great! Saving jobs! Woot!
The resident lefties are right on this one. I just wish they would have criticized Obama "bailouts" on a much larger scale. Maybe they did, but I don't remember it. Crony capitalism is bad, no matter who is doing it.
Hooray team!
Or perhaps allow for the possibility that some people dis agree with you without abandoning the facts.
Damn. I live on a different planet than you guys.
These folks are making $28,000 - $49,000 a year working at carrier making parts. If you take the Average, we are looking at $38,500 a year. I'd say that's less than most, if not everyone who posts here, but it's not like they're making minimum wage.
So the man/woman is making roughly 40k at Carrier and their spouse is making....lets go low and say $30k a year. that's an annual household income of $70,000. This wage puts the family smack in the middle class. The middle class is who voted for Trump. If Trump doesn't do what he can to save middle class jobs, he goes against everything he talked about the last year.
what facts are we abandoning?
There's also a difference between negotiating with an industry and a company. Fuck's sake.
Some people spend 250K on an education to work low paying retail jobs, so lets be polite and not make assumptions.
