Standup Comedy

The two new Chappelle specials are both excellent. Ep 1 is actually shot a year after Ep 2, so it is a more polished comedy set, but they are both brilliant. He definitely has a more mature perspective now. His ability to tie in out of left field call backs is second to none. Just a master at the craft.

The HBO Jerrod Carmichael is also pretty good, but he is still a lot of raw talent just settling into his own skin. I think that guy's work is still ahead of him.
 
Watched the first one last night (the LA one) and thought it was excellent. Will try to watch the other soon. There's a third coming out later this year.
 
Yeah, I recently watched Carmichael's 2 HBO specials. Loved them and am looking forward to future ones.
