I think he is more of a catalyst. He skyrocketed to become the face of a political movement that was just sitting there inert, just waiting to be activated. Who hasn’t had a friend/family member go from an outwardly normal sort of person to a crank it to 11 MAGA supporter. He can do no wrong and no amount of evidence against him will change his supporters minds.

Found out a formerly close friend that went full maga has just been left by his wife. She probably got tired of all the Facebook fights he instigated. Can't even imagine what he was up to in real life. His descent into maga began when he drove 3 hours each way to a Hermann Cain event.
