Trump Indicted

Democrats in Congress need to be hammering this daily every time there is a camera or a mic in their face. Treat it the way Republicans treat the Biden allegation du jour. Burn it into the collective American mind that he compromised our national security, the safety of troops stationed abroad, etc.
Yeah absolutely. They won’t because they’re awful at politics but still

I disagree. His most likely purpose was to show people how important he was. Trump's not smart enough (or at least not coherent enough) to plan a scheme to sell information.
trump has been many things throughout his entire life. completely devoid of integrity and filled to saggy jowls with greed are perhaps his only consistent qualities. Don't forget that his associates are more intelligent and are deeply in bed with foreign nationals.

MSNBC has bumper saying the indictment says they loaded a plane with boxes of docs before the FBI showed up before June 3.

The damn cocksucker has been golfing this afternoon.

"The classified documents TRUMP stored in his boxes included information regarding defense and weapons capabilities of both the United States and foreign counties; United Slates nuclear programs; potential vulnerabilities of the United States and its allies to military attack; and plans for possible retaliation in response to foreign attack"

What purpose would an ex-president who wasn't CIC possibly have with this information that isn't nefarious? This is skirting close to treason.

i actually think one reason for him would be to show it off at parties that he had it. like a trophy

That's a purpose fulfilled by a presidential library.

The purpose of libraries in florida is grooming children, obviously.
Good point. We won't see Republican presidents build a library anymore.

Jack Smith statement coming soon.

Now.

Absolutely. While the content is often reprehensible, Republicans are so good at crafting messages for their base to galvanize them around an issue. Dems can get bogged down in the esoterica of constitutional law and ethics too often when brashness is what's needed.

It's part of the reason why I really don't like the "nobody is above the law" messaging. Like yeah, nobody is above the law, but conservatives don't give a shit about the law and it makes the Dems sound like nerds trying to nail someone on a technicality. The messaging needs to be you, your kids, American military personnel, etc. are unequivocally less safe because of these illegal actions. Every American's security is now at greater risk and it's not unreasonable to think that Americans might die because of these crimes. Nobody besides policy wonks and the educated cares about the minutiae of the espionage act and what technically constitutes treason.

Right. Dems get caught up in trying to expose Republicans as hypocrites. This time it's on "law and order" messaging. They don't understand Republicans don't care.

conservatives have no new messaging. as soon as the news came out last night, they just repeated the stuff they've repeated for years:

HUNTER !
HILLARY !
WITCH HUNT !

they talk about how weaponized the government is, but any of them, most especially Trump, would weaponize the shit out of the government if they get in office.
