It's a ridiculously low blow to equate me with virulent slave holder and fighter to keep slavery forever.

Before declaring our independence, we'd make alliances with the EU, China, Japan, Canada, Mexico and others to support our economic and general freedom. If the US attacked us or refused to leave, they would have an economic embargo.

We'd also stop paying our federal taxes and BK the DOD. :)
 
McCain is tearing Trump a new asshole over the pardon.

“No one is above the law and the individuals entrusted with the privilege of being sworn law officers should always seek to be beyond reproach in their commitment to fairly enforcing the laws they swore to uphold. Mr. Arpaio was found guilty of criminal contempt for continuing to illegally profile Latinos living in Arizona based on their perceived immigration status in violation of a judge’s orders. The President has the authority to make this pardon, but doing so at this time undermines his claim for the respect of rule of law as Mr. Arpaio has shown no remorse for his actions.”

How do you pardon someone who hasn't been sentenced yet? This is a clear message to the people who are thinking of turning on him that he'll take care of them. I didn't know that someone who is pardoned can no longer invoke the 5th amendment to the events they were pardoned for.
