Wake Baseball 2017-Regional Champs! On to Supers!

Question I have is: should it come to Game 3, do we start Sellers or Colin Peluse? Peluse seems to be throwing better lately. But Peluse is a freshman and Sellers has more experience.

Sellers, then Peluse, then McSweeney, then Roberts if we get there.

According to the paper, Heimlich, 21, had to register as a sex offender after arriving at the university, stemming from a guilty plea in 2012, when he admitted to sexually molesting a 6-year-old female family member in Puyallup, Washington, when he was 15 years old.

The victim's mother told The Oregonian that she's "appalled that the college he's going to would even have him on their team."

Wow, crazy stuff. Obviously, it was a serious offense, and the family hasn't put it behind them.

While horrific, the charge against the OSU pitcher are 6 years old. Until the NCAA passes a rule that sex offenders are not entitled to receive any grant-in-aid money ever, not sure what OSU or Heimlich are supposed to do. Should he just give up baseball?

The school could say we're not interested in having you represent us with your past. Is that a serious question? I mean if they wanna let him play it's their call but let's not act like there's a difficult alternative option to conjure up.

Heimlich will pitch on Friday according to the Portland Tribune.

This is a good example of why once you do something in this country the stigma never leaves you. Six years ago and only 15, if he hasn't done anything since let the man be.

It was bad enough for our court system not to let it go. It's not like America has a problem going too easy on people who molest 6 year olds. Jesus.

Also, if Oregon State knew, they're going to look terrible either way. If they don't let him play, it's only because they got caught. If they do, that's probably worse. If they didn't know, they would have said so. They knew, and fuck them.

You're kidding right?

There are consequences. There ought to be consequences far beyond what he has received apparently. The victim will be dealing with this on some level for the remainder of her life and we should just let him be after all of 6 years? Unbelievable!

15 years old = high school sophomore. You're old enough and mature enough at that point to differentiate right from wrong. Good God. It's hard to fathom.

That's an unbelievable view of the blatant sexual abuse of a child. She was 4 years old when this started.

Fuck Heimlich. I hope fans rain insults his way throughout every inning.
