Interesting. Would make sense to do so if they had played today at UNC to give them some practice on a turf field, but NCSU has grass. So maybe just a chance to give the players a new experience and break in the normal practice routine.WF needs to recruit junior RB Tyler Mason of Mt Airy. He’s kicking butt in 1A title game, has 50 TDs this year, and had been offered by App St and VT. Donavon could help with recruiting if WF showed interest. MA practiced at Mcreary indoor this week so hopefully that will help a bit.
Regardless, always good to have the top players/programs/coaches getting exposure to our facilities. I've watched some of all 3 state championships fro m UNC and NCSU this weekend(one more tonight featuring a Wake preferred walk-on at QB), and there's a lot of DI talent on these teams, including a 6-8 230 lb. freshman TE/WR from Greensboro. We need to get back into the rotation for hosting these championship games.
