Wake Forest Football Recruiting

Hunter's 247 timeline is a mess. He put up nice numbers in his two years at the University of Hawaii. 6.4 yards per carry was top 10 nationally in 21.
10 games 101 carries 651 yards 3 TD in 2021. Not much of a nose for the end zone. Decent receiver. 31 catches in 2 years at UH.

He must not know what he wants. He was in and out of the portal in January of this year, returning to Liberty. Now he is once more in the portal.

hit the portal yesterday, offers from Louisville, Baylor, TCU, Indiana, among others. and if he's coming from Vandy, might be our kind of academic athlete. . . ?

In 11 games as a true freshman during the 2022 season, Richard made six total tackles with one tackle for loss and two pass break-ups. Richard came to Vanderbilt as a safety before moving to cornerback; his playing time increased drastically late last season as he ascended to a starting role. During spring practice, Richard was arguably the Commodores' top cornerback.

The flip side could be that after a one year of Vandy academics he wants someplace where counting the buildings between where he slept and the practice field earns math credits.

yeah maybe, who knows. He's worth a look though. might be a good fit for us.

Oh definitely. Need to see if he can play corner in Wake's scheme. That has been a position where guys have missed time because of injury more than at a lot of other positions.
 
Second highest rated player in the class according to 247.
