Wake opens +3.5

Normally when all the money goes one way you should still just assume Vegas' line was pretty spot on.

Of course I jumped all over ND at +13.5 and of course they took it off the board so I got #refunds. There's no way in hell FSU is consistently 13.5 points better than ND and that's not because I think ND is THAT good, I think FSU is around 10th in the country and they're getting a huge boost from public perception, their national title last year, and their winning streak.
 
Eh. Last year they destroyed their competition. This year, they're playing down to the competition a little bit but still beating them handily. I think you're way overstating their struggles.

I don't think I've said anything about Texas A&M on the boards this season. I don't know what that has to do with not thinking FSU is a top ten team. I think FSU would lose to Ole Miss and Mississippi State both more times than they would beat them but anything could happen in a one game playoff. Hell look at FSU-Auburn last year where the line was 8.5 at kickoff. The game was close but I don't think anybody really would have thought FSU wasn't the best team in the country if they had lost on a last second touchdown to Auburn. Auburn would be the champion but FSU would still be the better team.

I think FSU has played down to their competition a little bit and I think without Jameis in against Clemson their numbers are slightly skewed but I think there are easily five to seven teams better than them as well. We'll see on Saturday. It's a big statement game for both teams.
 
Anyone want to offer some expertise on the pitt va tech game? Pitt is favored by 1, at home, and coming off of a bye. I'm tempted to go with Tech. Normally this is one I would stay away from, but if I do it will be a boring sports night.

This strikes me as one of those "kitchen sink" games for Pitt, where they will pull out all the stops in a must-win, sort-of high profile game. Plus, the Hokie QB loves throwing interceptions like his name is Jacory Harris.

I wouldn't really bet on anyone in that division - pretty evenly matched games. I'd take VPI if I had to.
 
I was surprised FSU was giving so many points.

What kind of shitty place are you placing your bets through? Never known a bookie or casino to give a refund on a game that is being played. That's weak sauce.
 
The line has moved back to Pitt +1. I'm going with them, although I don't feel great about it.
 
If a game is taken off the board do places usually honor bets placed before it's taken off?
