With all deference to DC and others who defend it, I have never felt as much embarrassment at a WF representative- an adult, rep in a leadership position- as I did watching him stare at the floor, mute and dour, barely touching hands of the VT players. We've had players do dumb shit during and after games, but this is a grown man acting like a 6 yr old at a youth soccer game. Every program has losing periods and issues with non-winning coaches but I was embarrassed and disgusted with his demeanor at that point. That's the image people see as representing WF basketball. I recognize that the important thing is wins and losses but this isn't something so insignificant as to be swept under the rug. The man is a public face for Wake Forest- right now, he's the primary one. For all the issues with football, can anyone see Jim Grobe acting that way? The man who sends his players over to stand behind academy teams while they do their alma mater to their fans? No, [Redacted] was utterly out of line with his behavior. And it does matter. It's shameful, unacceptible, and he should apologize to VT players and to Wake alumni and fans.
