WF Basketball Transfers (In & Out): Jalen Johnson (UT) IN !!!!!!!!!

I see your point, Pilch. But Manning has failed to build good teams of juniors and seniors on track to graduate. This was his most experienced team led by a senior grad transfer, recruited senior, and two juniors.

Pilchard, the argument has been the number of players who have entered Wake Forest as freshmen and have left the program prior to exhausting their eligibility. The argument was an answer to Manning's "we are so young" excuse for losing.

Left prior...(19)...Konstantinos Mitoglou, Cornelious Hudson, Miles Overton, Madison Jones, Greg McClinton, Aaron Rountree, Andre Washington, Rondell Watson, Daniel Green, Doral Moore, John Collins, Bryant Crawford, DJ Mitchell, Samuel Japhet-Mathias, Richard Washington, Melo Eggleston, Jaylen Hoard, Micheal Wynn and Jamie Lewis.

Exhausted eligibility...(2)...Mitchell Wilbekin and Brandon Childress.

Keyshawn Woods was not included because he entered Wake as a transfer. He did leave prior to completing eligibility.

Wasn't Andre Washington a {redacted} recruit? In any event, I give Manning credit for letting him redshirt the year before he transferred as a graduate once it became apparent that Andre was not getting any PT.

That actually sounds pretty good. The problem is the team sucked and the underclassmen don't make up the core of a good ACC team.

Several of the players on the list were (redacted) recruits. Everyone on the list played for Manning. At the point Manning became coach he was responsible for roster management. His decisions determined whether a player chose to stay or leave Wake Forest. The results are obvious and a reason (among many) for Manning's lack of success.

Recruiting high school basketball players into college programs has got to be one of the most difficult, gut-wrenching, torturous, stressful jobs on the planet.

Why the hell is Wichita st talking to Mike Wynn? He couldn't play for us and the shockers are 10 times better than we are.

About half their returning players are transferring. They need bodies.

Marshall has always been a big-time pain in the ass. That's why it took 9 years for him to get a better job than Winthrop, despite taking them to the NCAAs 7 times. It's also why he doesn't have a Power 6 Conference job despite 13 years of big time success at Wichita State. Nobody likes him. Great coach, but difficult person.

A difficult person would not do well at Wake for long.

The main reason Marshall hasn't left is he's already the #13 paid coach in the country and unless he fucks up, he's got a job for life.
