WF Game 9: NJ Institute of Technology - 8 pm Saturday ACCN

Completely agree. I don't understand it. Local teams would boost home attendance. Local road games would help with NET. Reduces travel cost for everyone. Supports the NC/SC/VA regional economy. Maybe attracts interest from local recruits. Win win win win win.
And local fans of thise teams may appreciate wake playing a road game and return the favor buy checking out some wake games to root for another local team.

During spring/summer of 2024, Forbes and Currie should just save themselves the trouble and contract out the creation of the 2024-2025 OOC to ogboards.com posters.

A number appear to have ample time on their hands so this could be a win-win.
On the one hand I hate responding to a troll comment like this, but actually…

We have undergraduate students helping with the pitching lab. We could 100% find a math major who loves sports and have him/her run some scenarios related to scheduling and the impact on metrics. Pick a math-Econ major and run scenarios with different payout scenarios for a cost- benefit analysis. It ain’t rocket science and right now, the program is not maximizing the OOC schedule.

I feel like Cam, Hunter and Boopie are gonna feast at the rim against this team, could be looking at a career high for at least one of them (again).

Also if we thought Efton was impactful against Rutgers it's gonna be nothing compared to what he's gonna do against these guys. 20 rebound game incoming?

Meh not that it mattered to the scheduling but it’s nice to have a couple bullshit games to regroup and build chemistry.

Our lineups still haven’t played a ton of game minutes together

True, especially if Monsanto can come back before the Presby game. Seems like a longshot though.

They could also just ask the boards. We can help

Going tonight with the youngest (football trade in tickets).

non-game related note - they are doing a promotion to being a new stuffed toy to throw in the court at halftime to collect for a local charity. Just a heads up if anyone else is going and we want to collect more than 3 bears.

Good morning and happy gameday. One final bump of our return on the BOTG Pod with an hour-long basketball special. We talk the Florida and Rutgers games, how the rotation looks now, what the future holds for this team and why Efton Reid being back changes everything. Thanks for listening. I'll have coverage of tonight's game from the Joel.

FWIW, pretty sure if we win by 23+ we will move up in the NET. We're 22 point favorites based solely on games played this year (no preseason anchoring). Time to go for the jugular from the outset

Just remember OOC scheduling isn’t a one way street. The other team has to be available and want to play you…
That certainly is a hurdle in the process. A key to getting quality games is willingness to play at other team’s gyms. Some of these mid-majors would jump at chance of Wake coming to their place. Possibly sign 3 game contracts with 2-1 home split.
Another path is to be good and opportunity to play tough games on neutral courts become realistic.

Sure. But there are a lot of teams within a 6 hour drive likely to be 101-200 in the metrics.

There are four NC teams between 101-125 in Kenpom right now. And 7 other NC/SC/TN/VA teams from 126-200.

Great. Go be sure they are open the same time we are. It’s just stupid to act like it’s so simple. Internet warrior ignorance.
