WF MBB Game 18: Deacs at BC: Saturday 8 pm: ESPN2

That's Chris Ellis, aka Critty Cree aka CE0

He certainly has the DNA. His dad won the 1989 NBA 3-point contest. First winner who wasn't Larry Bird.

Gary Clark shot 55.3% from 3 his senior year on 94 attempts. His 3 pt % was higher than his overall field goal percentage (51.5%).

FWIW, here are WF three point shooting leaders heading into this season (from the media guide):

I would not have thought Dinos was #14 on the career list in just three years as a stretch big who didn't shoot a great percentage.

Dinos surprised me as did Travis McKie, unfortunately for him, he was on some horrendous teams, but didn't realize he shot that many threes.

I wasn't as surprised by McKie because he played a lot of minutes in a lot of games. I assume he's among career leaders in minutes. Isn't he among the career leader in games?

Just looked it up. McKie is 3rd in minutes played (4,023) behind Duncan (4,496) and Frank Johnson (4,054). He's 8th in games played (127). Brod Hicks leads with 131, one more than Songaila. McKie and Duncan are tied for career leaders in starts with 127.

What's the career record for games? Cam Hildreth played in 32 games as a freshman and will play in every single game for the rest of his career barring injury, and I have a feeling he's a four-year player for us. If we can make a couple postseason runs with him, I'm sure he'll have the record.

From BracketguyDave's tweet to the committee's laptops.

Certainly, especially if Wake manages to do anything in March.

Taking the list from Pilchard - if plain text, shooters used the original 3-point distance of 19'9" for all of their careers.

If red, shooters shot at 20'9" (2008-09 through 2018-19)

purple: shot at the current distance of 22'13/4" (2019-20 through present) Brandon Childress is red because this list excludes his senior year which was at the longer distance

Also - Monsanto has made 20 3's in 6 ACC games so far, and is therefore on pace to break Gray's single season ACC per game record (also Chill's all game per game record) despite shooting 3's almost 2 1/2 feet longer.

i wonder why Arians didn't make the list that Pilch pulled from but Jonah did

By the way, Lil Chill added 50 his senior year at the longer distance, not captured above, for 190 made 3’s shooting 35.5%

Daivien has made 124 through last night and could move into the top 10 this year. Damari has made 83 through last night and could do the same. If he plays next year he could move into the top 5 for sure.

FWIW, since he is mentioned above, as a starter the last WF played at BC, Bob Richey has BURIED Whitt on the Furman bench. Furman has played 5 SOCON Games. Whitt has played 1 minute total in those 5 games (the final minute of last night's Furman's 18 point win over Mercer). Whitt was not an ACC level player, and it appears that Whitt is not a SOCON level player.
I was right. I’m so shocked

Believe Broderick Hicks with 131
