Whitehouse

Reff almost certainly took a PPP loan for his business which probably operated as normal during Covid. Getting free money from the government in that program was just being a smart businessman, just like farm subsidies and tax breaks for things you’d be doing anyway like buying a house. Much different than ENTITLEMENT PROGRAMS.

one of the most surprising things for me was that people kept paying their insurance bills; some dip due to reductions in driving and in 2021 and beyond claims costs have skyrocketed but for agents covid was barely a ripple and now insurance premiums are climbing b/c of said costs.

if anything, he's gotten a raise

Wait there are rails and y'all aren't sharing? I see how it is.

@TheReff

Just a note to say you can't have open borders AND an increase in unlawful entries.

As far as unlawful entries, it's hard to use stats provided by CBP to get an accurate picture of what's happening. Does an increase or decrease in unique encounters comment on the prevalence of border crossings or does it comment on the effectiveness of border security?

On the whole, unique encounters have been decreasing over the past few months (and while there are ups and downs, the peak was August of 2021), and we haven't seen the surge that many predicted once Title 42 was lifted. Some of this is due to the administration, some not (enforcement of consequences and additional paths to apply for asylum v. weather (heat and rainy season).

Btw, the current wait time for a family reunification Visa for someone from Mexico between 96-244 months.

You can go here and search by the Reff's real name and it pops right up with a loan for $38,904: https://projects.propublica.org/coronavirus/bailouts/

Yep and I complied with the law, used it for business in paying salaries and was indeed losing income during that time due to Covid.
Exactly what PPP was to be used for and the forgiveness designed for. Those of you not self employed, having never written a paycheck in your life, nor matched the 7.65% FICA withheld from your employees paychecks would not know what this is about either. That 7.65% comes out of the employers pocket.
College loans, car loans, house loans never came with any kind of forgiveness clause. Biden knew that when he said it and was only trying to buy votes.

No one’s saying you did anything illegal, you received government entitlement benefits letter of the law.

I assume you had a restaurant or retail location with zero revenues to offset payroll so it was completely needed so your employees didn’t lose their jobs.

lol perfect

the best part is that this guy is against relief for working class Americans (student loan holders — isn’t it funny how they are never described this way?) but has no problem with forgiveness for his own loan! A+ glad we did this

Decent chance the employees he paid with PPP would have also benefited from Biden's student loan reductions.

Is it considered buying votes when republicans run on promises to cut taxes? That’s basically taking money out of some folks pockets and giving it to others.
