Well no news could be good news depending on who's left in the tournament. If VCU and Wich St make it to the Sweet 16 and we hire a coach during that week, I'd be pissed that we didn't wait.
It actually would be better to do it now. The players get used to playing without him. The assistants get a chance to show what they have for other opportunities. We get a head start on other schools for back channel and contact through agents. Gets the fan base that is left back engaged for last couple of games. Many other things if he would just think it through.
I agree that this hire will be heavily influenced by folks other than Wellman, but there is still almost zero chance we hire Howland and zero chance we hire Marshall. Folks are thinking way too optimistically. Look for a low-tier mid-major head coach (not Shaka).

Wake is an attractive job. I have little doubt we would have gotten Enfield if the job had opened last year.
What do you mean the AD panicked last night?
Deleting messages from Facebook. They didn't expect backlash to that extent.
Inside information would prove that this equation isn't always necessarily correct.
I know for an absolute fact that the WF job diminished from a 'consideration' to 'nothing' for at least one other 'in-demand' coach after R.W.'s handling of things after Bz season #2.
Word spreads. Enfield knew what kind of dumpster fire he'd be jumping into at that point, I'd bet anything on it.
RW is going to have a tough time selling the program to anybody who is going to be answering to him after the hire. That's what makes this thing such an absolute disaster, and it's why he needs to be sent packing along with Bz.
Why would anyone have wanted to have talked to Enfield after Season 2? He had one 15-17 season at FGC. He was a nobody and had no resume. Had we offered him then, he would have walked across glass to take the job. It's crazy to think otherwise.
