I said in another post that according to my neighbor (big donor and BOT member) the decision hasn't been made yet and it is completely up to Ron and not the BOT, Hatch or anyone else. If someone else was making that decision RW would have already been fired. That is why he paid millions per year. Count on Bz to return next season unless Bz retires/resigns of his own accord.
 
At a bar watching the game. Lad beside me said her BOT friend said Wellman is retaining him. And three players were transferring and we were most likely getting some big man from Oak Hill. I didn't know her, but she offered up the info like it was gospel once she found out I was a wake fan.

She sounds like she reads the Scout board and thinks that makes her an insider.
 
Rokys or whatever his name is would be the Oak Hill guy. I'd be surprised if we wanted or got him.

Is it possible that Pitt would throw the game, in order to avoid losing in a home game to UNC and to keep [Redacted] around another year? Long-term planning by Dixon rather than a short-term meaningless win

If we make it to Saturday (not happening) that means we beat Pitt & the tar holes.

There would then be cause to re-evaluate the situation.

But really, if we lose tomorrow, we are no better shape than we were at this time last year. Still out of the ACCT on Thursday.
 
Losing this game to WF would make Pitt nervous on Sunday night. They are going to be super motivated.

The fact that even THAT scenario would be grounds to reevaluate is galling enough. There really shouldn't be anything short of an ACC tourney title and run to the Elite Eight that should save this guy at this point. He's that hopeless.
