It's not hard to just stop the clock and sort it out. Not to mention that was probably a first down.
 
I hate officials. I cant stand the fact that they don't have to answer to the media but RG3 and Shanny will.
 
This is a bigger deal than Gronk not getting to a ball that was already intercepted.
 
Cant wait for Mike whatever his name is to tell us how it was the right call.
 
Thinking more about this.... Is what this bunch of buffoons did even legal within the NFL rules? I have to believe this crew will get a one-game suspension.


They signaled 1st down. A play was run and completed as a "first-down play". Then, they essentially go back TWO full plays and signal 4th down.


Shanahan should still be on the 50 arguing this call. Unbelievable.
 
So the refs steal a down from the Redskins in their last drive, and that's not worth mentioning?

I don't think individual officials should have to answer to the media. But I hate how coaches/players can't voice their opinions in a post-game press conference - when they're obviously going to be worked up - without getting fined. Fine them if they say "That ref sucks. He blew the game. He probably had money on New York." But they shouldn't get fined for saying "I think that was a terrible call and the refs screwed us out of a down."
 
Not a single mention of the call in the post game for NBC?
 
holy shit, even worse than it looked initially.
 
the skins should be happy the refs botched that call and took away any chance they had at a win. they get a little moral outrage and better draft position*.

* assuming they have a 1st rounder this year.
